Zhongtan Guoke (Baotou) Energy Co., Ltd. was established on February 14, 2025, and is currently engaged primarily in the research and development of carbon reduction, carbon conversion, carbon capture, and carbon sequestration technologies.

This project utilizes industrial CO₂ tail gas (exhaust gas) emitted from the upstream Baotou Shenhua low-temperature methanol stripping decarbonization unit as feedstock. It involves the construction of the first phase of a 300kt/a liquid CO₂ recovery facility as part of the 500kt/a liquid CO₂ recovery project in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. The recovered CO₂ is primarily used for oil recovery in oilfields and other applications. This project represents a comprehensive utilization of resources, reduces pollution emissions, and enhances economic, social, and environmental benefits, and is in line with local “dual carbon” industrial policies.

Our company serves as the EPC general contractor for this project, employing our proprietary technologies such as precision desulfurization, multi-stage liquefaction, and specialized adsorption purification. The project features a clear technology source, advanced and reliable processes, a high degree of automation, superior product quality, and low energy consumption. The technology reaches advanced domestic standards, ensuring that all product technical indicators meet the requirements of GB/T 6052-2011 “Industrial Liquid Carbon Dioxide.” In addition to meeting the needs of oilfield enhanced oil recovery, the product is also suitable for industrial applications in the market, such as mechanical manufacturing and CO₂ gas shielded welding.
