From July 9 to 12, 2015, the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Carbon Dioxide Specialized Committee of the China Industrial Gases Association was successfully held in Chengdu, Sichuan. As a vice-chair unit of the Carbon Dioxide Specialized Committee, our company served as a co-organizer of this annual meeting.

  The annual meeting featured distinguished experts and scholars from diverse fields, including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University, Nankai University, the University of Science and Technology Beijing, the Tianjin Dye Industry Research Institute, and Beijing Xuri Xinhua Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., who delivered insightful presentations. They analyzed, discussed, and offered outlooks on the resource utilization of carbon dioxide, its applications in agricultural yield enhancement, and the future trends of the carbon dioxide industry. During the conference, over 140 delegates reviewed the development of the CO₂ Specialized Committee over the past decade. Ms. Zhao Min, Secretary-General of the Specialized Committee, presented reports on the current status of the CO₂ industry and development recommendations. Regional Vice Chairpersons of the Specialized Committee delivered reports on regional industry research and analysis. Several participating organizations showcased and introduced innovative technologies and their application prospects. All attendees listened attentively and engaged in discussions on the various agenda items.

  Through the exchanges and discussions at this conference, participants gained a more comprehensive understanding of the current state of the domestic carbon dioxide industry, its development prospects, relevant national industrial policies, and the development and utilization of downstream products. The event provided an excellent platform for enterprises to grasp industry trends under the new circumstances and played a positive role in guiding and advancing the development of the carbon dioxide industry.

  During the conference, delegates visited the first carbon dioxide plant established by Germany’s Messer Group through a joint venture in China—the 100kt/a food-grade carbon dioxide facility at Sichuan Meifeng Messer Gas Products Co., Ltd. The plant’s standardized management and immaculate appearance left a deep impression on the delegates. Our company was responsible for the design, turnkey supply, and commissioning of this carbon dioxide production facility, which began operations at the end of 2014.
